The article was about male victims of rape. Are you suggesting that plight of male rape victims should be ignored because they aren't women? Because that's sure the hell what it sounds like you are saying.

No, that is not what I'm saying.

The article was about male rape, yes. But it was also about how women supposedly have a responsibility to provide resources for victims of male rape even when it directly contradicts the interests of female rape victims. This is wrong. The comments were addressing that.

Tangent, but this makes me think of a good instance of someone upthread saying "nah, I don't believe those extremist man-haters also calling themselves 'feminists' exist" - I've seen women who insist men can't be raped.
