This is a VERY good point, and is definitely one you'll want to think about, OP. Does he badmouth your parents a lot, or try to keep you from seeing them? If you were to tell him that you think your parents don't care about you, would he agree with you? If he does either of these things, there's a chance he may be trying to isolate you.
