I tend think my association with soulbonders was pretty lucky, I was introduced to the idea by a person already in their 30s who had grown out of the "silly teen" phase and could be critical about other soulbonders.

Frankly, because it is such a non-typical mindset, it draws in a lot of odd types. There's few well known stories around about "batshit" soulbonders that attest to that.

But I agree with comments about not painting all soulbonders with the same brush. It is a real pity you got into a group who set up such a dangerous set of traditions to "test" it's members.
