3. OMFG YES. I've fangirled VERY few couples of ANY kind like I fangirled these two. OTP, OTP, FUCKIN' OTP.

14. Jesus... just *what* do people want in female characters to start? No matter what she does, a fictional female will ALWAYS have peope ready to jump at her for the any reason: "Too fanservicy". "Too sweet". "Too bitchy". "Too pretty". "Too angsty".

Sadly, 90% of times all the reasons are reduced to one: "She's female".

To #14: I'll add this to your secret: The more I watch Turn A Gundam (which has awesome female characters, BTW), the more I realize just how shallow Flay and Lacus the human fortune cookie are.

To #15: He is rather fascinating, isn't he?

To #17: If you do it, be very, very careful, and try the game in small doses at first to see how it makes you feel. LSD trips are anything but short, and to spend twelve hours sucked into a nightmare game is a good way to potentially damage your brain.

In my opinion (#14), it all depends on character development. This is why I am enjoying the Hell out of Turn A Gundam. It likes to take its female characters and peel their personalities like big, tasty onions. Seed and Seed Destiny like to throw characters at the viewer with no real development except one or two defining characteristics, and that makes it very easy to hate a character like Flay.

8. Cho's name is supposed to name "butterfly", right? Isn't it supposed to be all pretty? That and doesn't HP's story start in the late 1980's so maybe the characters had very typical names? From the way I've read the first two or three books, that is.

But I get what you mean. :/ Parvati Patil lolol. It's "Patel", if that's what Rowling was aiming for.

14. Honestly, the only reason I sort of liked GS was because of the kickass music and discovering my favorite band ever from GSD. I wasn't fond of Kira, either...

14. What happens, then, when a female character *does* have more or less *effective* character development and *even then* she's bashed? Some examples would be the lady in my icon (Orihime from Bleach), Rue from Princess Tutu and Sakura from Naruto, who HAVE more or less developed beyond their defining characteristics... yet some people STILL refuse to see through the "bouncy boobs and ditziness", "possessive whore" or "obsessed Sasuke bitch" labels slapped on them.

9. Same here. I love the country, and I fell in love at first by anime (I still watch anime, but I love it for other reasons now). And I think what may set some Japan fans apart from Wapanese people is if they acknowledge the fact that Japan is not perfect--far from it. It's got its serious flaws just like any other country. But I love it all the same.

But then, I'm a culture whore, even if I don't know all that much (yet!).

3. Muraki is a fascinating chara and all, yeah. But let's face it... he IS a twisted bastard, and NOTHING will change that. IIRC, even the two persons he more-or-less *does* cares for, Ukyou and Oriya, know that. How come some fans refuse to see that... uh, I dunno.
