(Anonymous) 2012-06-09 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)My friends and I do that with each other. We don't mind at all. We may bitch and moan about what we do to each other (because we can be pretty cruel in the silly fangirly ways), but we do it all in good fun.
Someone once put me in their fic, probably in hopes that I'd read and comment, but she never told me or asked me if it was OK before doing it. When I stumbled across it, I was a bit freaked out, and asked her to take me out of the fic. I felt bad since she seemed hurt by it, but she and I were not friends and I didn't know her very well. If she and I were actually friends, I wouldn't have minded.
So I do know the difference between putting someone in a fic and making them feel uncomfortable versus having my friends put me in their fics.
