There's nothing wrong with that! You like cute things. So do most people. And that's okay.

Also, Korrasami and Jetko are easily the most boring slash pairings in their respective fandoms.

I shouldn't touch this topic, but...

I did not find Mai to be a boring character. That is my opinion. It is also my opinion that Jetko and Korrasami are boring pairings. Do they look nice? Yes. Do I ship them a little bit? Also yes. But I feel that when you're shipping slash or other non-canon pairings, it's more fun to put a bit of effort into it.

Tbh, I think crackships tend to have more effort put into it than canon shippers. It takes imagination to have Jetko of all things have a side in the fandom. I can't even believe there's a group for them.

Unlike canon pairings where you just have it right there.

That's very true, and it's why I like crackshipping so much. But I don't think Jetko is crack. It's more of a gateway drug. Fandom marijuana.

Why do you talk about effort when you ship Mai/Zuko of all things? Laziest pairings ever, it's like the producers just randomly decided to put them together.

I have different standards for canon and non-canon pairings. I like pretty much all canon pairings because I like seeing how they effect the story at large, and predicting how they'll look in the future. When I venture into crack territory, I like to challenge myself to come up with weird pairings and still write them so they make sense.

Everyone has different ideas of what's boring and what isn't. I never tried to tell anyone what to think.

I didn't even know Jetko existed (I've never delved too deeply into AtLA fandom)! As soon as I saw the picture I thought it looked great..Why do you consider it the worst?

I don't! I quite like it, actually, mostly for the visuals. Which I guess is fine if that's all you're looking for in a pairing. I just think it's a bit... lazy. Maybe it's because I'm a gleeful crackshipper. It's too easy and not very interesting.

Korra isn't grown up/mature enough for Lin, imo. But Korra and Asami both just need to ditch Mako and move on. Preferably with each other

Agreeing with this. I think Korrasami is intriguing, even if I don't really ship it. I like their dynamic and I like both of them as characters. And it would be a fitting end to the way-overdone love triangle. though it kind of leaves Bolin and Mako in the dust for me since I don't really do the incest thing

...none of that is ever gonna happen, but hey

Also, forgive my bad memory in this case, but do Jet and Zuko ever even interact in ATLA canon?

Which slash pairings in the ATLA/ATLOK fandom do you consider exciting then?

Any of them, if I find a good fanfic. It just seems like with these pairings, the reasoning behind it is "two hot guys" or "two hot girls" and not much else.

I don't know about the other one, but I like Jet/Zuko because it could never work out well in the end for both of them. Zuko has his duty to the Fire Nation, and, with his personality, he cannot place love (or lust, whatever) above that. He has to marry a woman (most likely Fire Nation, possible symbolic unity of a mixed-nation marriage aside) and produce heirs. Simple as that.

Jet, on the other hand, would likely never get over the fact that he was banging a fire nation dude, and even if he did, he would never stay in the Fire Nation because of past history and because he probably couldn't stand to stay in one place for terribly long (particularly when the war/fighting is over). Also, I doubt he would settle for being some sort of dirty little secret for the new Fire Lord. This, of course, is all assuming that Jet lived, which he probably didn't. I like to think that, whatever the case, Zuko was very happy and very much in love with Mai afterward.

But I don't know, I kind of like the tragedy of it all and think that some thought goes into it if you actually ship it and not just "lol hey, two guys fucking," which is what you're implying the ship to be entirely about. :/

Jetko I don't as I personally find Jet a dickhead and I'm not a huge atla fan. But I'm sure those shippers see something I don't.
