In actuality the words that you yourself are using to try and justify this whitewashed "poor baby" view of Loki makes it very clear that you ARE projecting. Maybe if you took a long hard look at that possibility instead of getting offended by others noticing it, you could actually learn and grow from your reaction to this issue.

Nowhere here have I "whitewashed" Loki or called him a "poor baby." As someone astutely said below, being a victim of abuse does not excuse being an asshole. I have explicitly said that Loki being a victim of abuse does not excuse what he did.
Shockingly, I have considered that my view of Loki may be colored by my experiences as a victim of abuse. However, further observation and picking apart my reactions (which I should not have to do, by the way, but people like you and the other anon make me so afraid to dare be seen as ~projecting that I feel like I have to police my own fucking feelings) have shown that no, my impressions were made independent of that. People I know who are not and have never been victims of emotional abuse concur with my observations and came to similar ones independently from me or any input from me.
So no, I am not "projecting," and you can uh, fuck off, also.
