That's actually a good way of looking at it. I'm a little sensitive because I recently went through a whole deceitful mess with, who I thought was, a good friend of mine. :\ So maybe a little with the over-reaction.

I would go with this as well.

Maybe it's not true for OP - who knows if anything is? But what secrets on FS seem to do is open up discussion for people who do see them and for whom they may be true to. Lots of secrets have anons going 'oh my god, me too, OP, I have this issue' and maybe OP doesn't actually have that problem, but if they do, then it's a real thing, and that's what I'd respond to.

'Someone out there feels this way, here's a way to address them'; for that much, I think responding to secrets is worthwhile.
