This comment is amazing. I had never even thought of that aspect of the Tony and Loki interaction.

Also, I hate all of the "Thor's friends are bullies" comments that always pop up on tumblr. Thor's friends give each other shit, like friends do. Long before Volstagg and his "silver tongue turned to led" comment, we see Fandral give Hogun a hard time for being quiet, Sif tell Fandral that he can't keep his mouth shut, everyone give Volstagg crap for his appetite, and Thor try and steal credit for Sif's accomplishments and her shutting him down flat.

The fact that they include Loki in on it means that they consider him part of the group. They fight seamlessly as a group of six, and Fandral and Volstagg are quick to defend Loki when his name comes up as a possible traitor. Sif and Hogun, despite believing it's possible, are clearly upset by the prospect.

These are a group of people who have known and fought together for years. Not a group of bullies picking on Loki.
