Post them! I love a good gen/slice of life fic, despite my love of shipping. My motto is that I'll read anything once. My favorite things are romances WITH plot(the different non-romantic themes you mentioned). But I love a good gen story, if it's good and not just boring. 'Course, that applies to romance; if it's just sappy romance, I won't read it, because that's often very boring to me.
