Ever since playing Mario for nintendo 64, water levels have freaked me out (that stupid fucking eel. And the drowning). I'm also remembering a level in one of the Spyro the Dragon games where sharks would chase you around under water that wigged me out as a kid (I made my grandpa finish the level for me)...

That Amnesia: The Dark Descent game didn't help either...

I'm with you on the Mario 64 underwater levels. I was twelve when I first played and I was so freaked out by the underwater monsters that I never tried for more than two stars on a water world. They were even scarier than Boo's castle which I loved to explore.
