They cut scenes out of it? I always felt bad for Steve. He was the one playing catch up to the others, but this was where they all learned to get along. I felt like by the end of the movie, they were all a team, but it would have been nice to see more of their personal sides, his especially. There just wasn't time though with as long as it already was. Maybe there'll be more next time?

Yep, Joss said the DVD/Blu-ray will have around 30 minutes of deleted scenes, and most of them scenes involve Cap, including one with him in his apartment in Brooklyn, they even released a still of that scene earlier this year. Last month, I think, Kevin Feige said in an interview that CA2 will deal with Steve trying to fit in the 21st Century, I guess they probably thought it was better to just hint at those feelings in The Avengers and really develop that in his sequel.
