So true! They trail off into brief arguments regularly, but they only have "fights" every once in a while, and a lot of their conversations are perfectly civil.

I actually thought that moment in OotP where Harry explodes at lunch and yells at them for arguing all the time and storms off the the Divination tower, and they're both like O_o was really interesting -- Ron and Hermione enjoy bickering. It's their thing. They don't always enjoy it, but most of the time they think it's run-of-the-mill and don't even seem to realize how they sound to other people, especially people who grew up in emotionally abusive households.
