Not directly saying the OP's secret does this, but so many complaints about the lack of genfic also seem to include a slam at shipfic. I like shipfic, I read it, I write it. I don't go around slamming genfic. It's not the fault of shipfic for being generally more available (in most fandoms) and easier to find (again, in most fandoms). Perhaps the OP might want to try to start a comm for genfic for their fandom to attract more of it to one place.
