She'd be up for best supporting actress in a comedy right? If so, I don't see it happening this year.

Slots don't open up all that often, for one thing. None of the shows that the nominated actresses were from last year have gone off the air, so most of the nominees in 2012 will bear a striking resemblance to the nominees in 2011.

And I don't think the voters are overly inclined to reward anyone but Jim Parsons on that show. They'll sprinkle a few nominations around because it's a huge hit and fans of the show will be more likely to watch that way, but beyond that, I think it feels too safe and too traditional for it to win much else.

This looks pretty accurate to me. I might sub in one of the Girls actors for Cloris because Betty White might fill their old lady quota. (And personally, I think Eden Sher should be a front-runner, but I'm not going to hold my breath.)

Other wins and nominations, that is.

Also, it is possible that MB might be considered somewhat controversial, because of the attachment parenting book and all. Honestly, not a clue whether or not that would actually affect voters one way or the other, but I think it could easily be an excuse for some of them to not vote for her.

Every awards show boils down to a popularity contest in the end. It never hurts to always keep that in mind.
