She's one of the only ones in the group with a love interest (sort of; it's complicated) that garners something more than a passing reference, but to me she cares more about getting the job done and coming out on the winning side than romance. I will say, however, that is most definitely a critical member of the team and not merely eye candy nor the token female. Just watch the film. You'll see.

Are you referring to her dialogue with Clint? Cause I didn't get the romance impression at all. I mean, I could see them developing into one because they are obviously very close friends, but that's all I read it as.
