Just chiming in with another "seriously, it's fine." Even if you do interpret her relationship with Hawkeye as romantic (and it's seriously easy not to do so -- plenty of people see the relationship as brothers-n-arms), if anything he would be HER love interest in terms of the way the narrative is positioned and their relative importance in it.

But mostly there just isn't romance (at least not with Natasha -- there is a little Tony/Pepper in there, but that has two movies worth of back story) and also she is awesome and has lots of neat stuff to do and is definitely not the token female.

Uh-huh. I definitely agree that while there is some potential there, I don't really see it being there yet -- and Black Widow is imo much more central to the story than Clint is, so I agree with you re: him being her LI.
