Keanu Reeves has been mocked for this for nearly every movie since Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures. Both the actors who played Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels got a lot of crap for their wooden acting too, and one of them was just a kid, ffs.

So no, I don't think it's sexism. People tend to notice when an actor has a poor range of facial expressions because it's sort of their job and all.
