omg, OP, I can totally relate. When I see someone who looks like either of my exes, I do an unpleasant double-take. Especially my second one because I'm always nervous of running into him on campus, and there are a fair number of people who look vaguely like him.

It's funny because in one of the movies I recently watched for the first time, there was a character who looked like him. He looked like a cross between said second ex and one of my cousins actually, which was...weird. I really liked the character for who he was and because I thought he was attractive, which was weird because part of the reason I thought he was attractive was that he had some of the same features that attracted me to said ex. (I have a type, I guess, idk. and this isn't the first person I've had that exact experience with.) The thing was, even though I liked the character and thought the actor was cute, it also was weird and gave me slight pangs of pain/hurt to look at him because of the resemblance.

It was an odd experience to have with a character.
