Eh. My whole family's geeky in one way or another, so finding out my little sister wrote and read fanfic was no biggie for me; I think she was more embarrassed about it, and that was only after I got into a discussion on her Facebook wall with one of her friends over Pottershipping. On the other hand, she was already in high school at the time, so maybe it's different if they're really young still. Anyway, hope you can get over it, OP, because she's probably not going to change for the sake of your squick.
