The issue is hardly that she doesn't deliver a performance that convinces you, but that the response is virulent body policing and ludicrously over-the-top contempt and concentrated and longstanding efforts to mock her and put her down personally whenever she is so much as mentioned - for...trying to make a living, I guess... - and that when one person voices approval of her, there is some mysterious urge to dogpile with heaps of absurd self-superior derision. It is totally sexist.
I can't stand, say, Michael Fassbender or Ryan Reynolds, but I don't feel the need to jump on every little thing concerning them talking at the top of my lungs about the fact. And in fact if I did so, both people who liked them and people who didn't like them would probably acknowledge that as pretty rude.
