Joffrey is a sociopath. He has pleasure seeing people suffering. He enjoys making them suffer. He did what he did to Sansa. To Ned. To the common people. He has no affection or whatsoever for anyone (besides, maybe, himself, because the little prick is that arrogant). Besides of that, he is shown to be a complete and total monster in everyone's eyes except Cersei's.

Cersei has reasons and motivations, yes. But she's also cruel, finds Joffrey behavior completely acceptable when he's not destroying her plans, doesn't gives a fuck about anyone who doesn't has anything related to her (HER children, HER brother, HER father). Yes, she was sexually abused, but that doesn't excuses her from anything besides the Robert/boar thing (I think anyone could see her point). People seem to forget about how she treated Tyrion as a baby, or what she did to Melara Hetherspoon, the Qyburn thing, or being an insane, paranoid power-obsessed jerk. Oh well.

Now Jaime... I really can't understand the comparison. Jaime did TERRIBLE things, yes, but always with a reason (even the Bran incident, where his sister, the one he loves the most in the world, could have been killed). But he also cares about people, even the ones he doesn't seems to know more (the people in King's Landing burning, Rhaella Targaryen getting raped, the rape threats against Brienne before they started to know each other better ). He tries to be a better person. He fails. He's still trying. He doesn't gets any pleasure for treating people badly. See, I'm not arguing that he has lots of flaws and did awful things (he still is a jerk just like the rest of his family, after all, but he's more like Tyrion in the beginning not in ADWD ugh than Cersei, Joffrey or Tywin), but comparing him to Joffrey and Cersei is ridiculous.

Whoa whoa! Cersei doesn't find Joffrey's behavior completely acceptable. Watch a little more closely. She knows he's a monster--she practically confessed it to Tyrion.

But she didn't did anything against it, and praised him many times. I may have worded it badly (I probably did, in fact), but she certainly didn't had much against it. I don't think Cersei is like Joffrey or Gregor, she does gets uncomfortable with explicit violence (Qyburn and the singer, stuff like that), but she's not a good person in any degree.

Uh. Is that not because in-show he made it very clear that her speaking against him would have very serious repercussions, like imprisonment or death?

In the books at least her own inner monologues have her praising Joffrey and being oblivious to his flaws. The show having her realize that he's a monster is an invention of the showrunners.
