Same, like, my family was affected by Nazis and I... seriously do not enjoy actively thinking about people having a Nazi kink; but to the extent they don't tell me all about it, no problem really, it's something I'm happy to just ignore. (And people whose families weren't affected rushing to get offended on my behalf is kind of weird. :/ )

I can see why people would get offended. I mean, what the Nazis did was an atrocious crime against humanity. Any person should be offended when they see someone defending Nazism.
I'm a rape victim. I don't get all "weird" when a non-rape victim tells people that rape jokes aren't okay or that their rape-supporting attitudes are terrible. I'm happy that even someone who wasn't directly offended is standing up for us.

For the record - I'm okay with Nazi kink (and love it myself,) just not with those who use the kink as an excuse to be a Nazi sympathizer.

I was raped too, and like. I am totally okay with people who weren't raped speaking up against rape culture and certain kinds of rape jokes (I have friends that are also survivors where we have the kind of relationship that we make those jokes among each other, but that's coming from a very different place than a non-survivor telling them for a mixed audience!)

I am not okay with people who were not raped telling everyone that, for example, it's not okay to have a rape fantasy or to roleplay/write noncon scenarios. Something like that is a more complicated issue, and CAN be done in private where nobody else would even know, so it irks me when people who are not themselves affected try to decide on behalf of the people who are what is and is not okay.

I think that is where the ayrt is coming from? Obviously with a different thing, but I get the impression it's kinda like that.
