What gets me is that the same people who come up with these theories tend to be his biggest fans. Does it make them like him more or less?

O-oh my D: Most Loki fans I've met are very intelligent people who know how to put things in perspective, but ... dear Lord. That is not good news. What is the world coming to.

A lot of Loki's more leather-pantsing fans (which are different from those who love him as a complex villain) seem to be fans of his because they think the way he thinks, and I often see them make logical connections similar to the ones he makes (along the lines of "if someone made fun of me for being a dork, I'd feel like killing people to teach them a lesson too") express the desire to do the same things he does, with the same rationalizations he makes. So no, I don't find it at all implausible that his fans -- the people who identify with him the most -- are the first ones to make the darkest and most twisted assumptions about his behavior.
