Agreed in all of its faults. I'm about eight years older, but I still wasn't able to make it through the whole series until last year (I had several failed attempts that all petered off less than halfway through its first season).

I've gotta say, though, there were some payoffs in the storytelling that put just about any other series I've ever seen to shame. Its arc was so beautifully constructed, and the majority even holds up once you go back to rewatch it.

Yeah, I had a really hard time plugging through S1 though I kept with it knowing how Farscape's first season was really, really silly until Nerve and I was hoping B5 would have the same turn around. Got a Sheridan instead of Scorpius, and the build was still slower paced, but I'm glad I didn't give up on it.

Oh yeah, especially on rewatch! Because when you know what's about to happen later in the series, you can see all the little tells and hints already placed in the very early episodes. Beautiful! In my opinion, it's still the best constructed TV series ever.
