So... find something else to read? Seriously, the internet is full of comics.

It's one thing to sit through a movie or finish a book and then go "that sucked." It's quite another to return to a website every few days to get a single comic, if you don't ever like the comics.

Suggestion for OP: put it on hold for a few months to a year, then go back and see if it's any better.

To tide you over, I recommend http://basicinstructions.net/ and http://somethingpositive.net/

anyone else read the title BASIC INSTRUCTION and thought it revolved around the computer language BASIC?

Ugh, that comic is awful. I'll never know why they decided to center a spin off comic on the two least interesting (and in Lisa's case, one of the most annoying) characters of Penny and Aggie.

But like the people above mentioned, there are plenty of better webcomics around so it's all good

It won't happen, OP. Stop reading now.

Admittedly, I check it every couple of weeks for the trainwreck, and I can't figure out if that bearded guy is supposed to be the fat guy from the HS flashbacks or not. And I still don't know his name. And is he queer? Why is he.... in this comic about Sara and Lisa.....

... no, no he's not.

I mean, I'm contemplating dumping this comic myself, but the characters are all reasonably distinguished if not all that distinct. Everybody but Lisa and Sara at the college are new characters introduced in this comic.

I'm far more interested in the affair of Sara's mom and would rather read a comic about her.

da

Lol, yes! Sara's mother is the only thing about this comic that interests me. Just continue talking about that! Hell, give Sara's mom a whole damn spin off, idec

I've tried to read this comic and didn't like it, but am I the only one who (up until the time when she was sort of transphobic) actually liked Lisa? She's obviously turning the wacky up to 11 because she's lonely and doesn't know who she is, and that's interesting to me.

(Anonymous) 2012-06-19 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
No me too, I genuinely enjoy lisa most of the time

She uses so much obnoxious internet lingo that she reminds me of how terrible my friends and I were in high school and I find it endearing

(Anonymous) 2012-06-19 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
why would you keep coming back to that garbage? it's not even funny-bad like one of jay naylor's comics or half the stuff on the bad webcomics wiki, it's just BAD-bad.

(Anonymous) 2012-06-19 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Bad art, bad writing, forcing the funny and fucking Lisa who the worst of worst. Campbell and Waltrip are idiots.

Giselle, I miss you but you are so much better off with Dave. Read her comics, please.

Oh, you mean Menage a 3, a sex comedy which is unfunny at best?

Not to mention insulting. Literally everyone finds the woman with massive breasts attractive, and then they add a character with small breasts who is really unhappy about it? Well, way to tap into my subconscious and make me feel awful about my body. Because there isn't enough of that in the rest of media, right? I'm sure it wasn't their intention, and the small girl is supposed to be pretty attractive too and heck, maybe they addressed the therapist's feelings on her body but meh. It's too late for me to want to go back now.

Does anyone else keep holding out hope that there'll eventually be a separate P&A spinoff about Duane and Charlotte? I would much rather read a comic about what Charlotte does after her release from prison and how it affects her relationship with Duane (and Duane's girlfriend). I can't help but assume she'd be living with Duane after her release. She's got nowhere else to go (I'm assuming her mom hightailed it out of town long ago and was careful to cover her tracks to prevent Charlotte from finding her), and as far as we know Duane's the only person who's maintained regular contact with her during her incarceration.
