But..what about those of us who are asking because we honestly *want* to know why someone likes a character/pairing/whatever-else? That's why I ask those questions - and I've found some *awesome* characters/pairings because of asking. When people start discussing the reasons why, it can really give you a new look at what's being discussed. While it may not always change your opinions, it does give an interesting insight to other points of view which is rarely a bad thing.

Well, how do you ask? Is it "why do you like them?" or "why would you waste your time on them?" Because the latter happens often.
