It's as a couple of other anons said.

The sort of phantom limbs that some otherkin experience are usually the sensation (but not sight) of extra limbs that aren't there. I've never seen one claim to actually be able to see the limbs-- it's much more like the medical concept, the only difference being that there isn't an amputated limb to replace with the phantom sensation.

While I do not consider myself an otherkin, I actually have phantom limbs like the ones usually described by them. I just assume that it's yet another example of how incredibly complex and fascinating the human brain is, that it would create this sort of feeling. But that said, I see no reason that anyone should be bothered or offended by people who attribute some spiritual or generally-otherkin-y meaning to it.

Unless they're ACTUALLY claiming to be persecuted (which is of course crap), they're not hurting anybody.
