7. Shota mangas tend to have the cutest artwork. I'm not even into it for the smexing!
9. If you get the right band at the right time, band fandoms can be some of the most mature ones out there. Like, I've been in the Backstreet Boys fandom for nearly 10 years. It's matured so much over that time (in the band's heyday the fandom was as bad as the FOB and P!ATD fandoms now, because of the biggest age demographic). We're college aged die hards with children/school/work/SOs/real lives now and it makes us so tolerant of everything. And the fic... oh the fic. So good!

Cross != RELIGIOUS Crucifix

Crosses are instruments used to punish people. Yes, ONE person that everyone thinks of WAS on a cross, and that on a character to make them goth or something would PISS ME OFF as I'm Roman Catholic, but sweetie, more than one person died on a cross. And a lot of crosses people wear in anime or such aren't ACTUAL crosses because they are two lines of equal size/length BYSECTING each other.

Oh, and did you ever think that the artist might have a reason to put a cross in? Maybe to reinforce the appearance of a monk/priest/someone dedicated to religion? It's also seen as a sign of self punishment, sufferings one must deal with, and atoning for past misdeeds. So sometimes it is completely IN CHARACTER for such imagery to appear on clothing for a character.

My tl;dr point...

Cross != Crucifix showing Jesus (and anyone in higher maths will tell you that != means not equal)

He's one of my favorites, too. I don't think liking him makes you creepy, either. D: He's so sweet and awesome and LOVES CATS. It's probably more that telling people you love DEATH when they haven't read the books is sort of... er, yeah. Easily misinterpreted.

Yeah I really enjoy the graphic part of yaoi actually! But those same shots and actions do not translate at all to real men for me. I'm not against them doing it, I just don't want to see them doing anything even remotely intimate with another man lol. But I feel the same for heterosexual couples too, so I guess I just enjoy the fantasy more than reality. XD
