Look, I know it's always always great when you find someone you admire who also shares your views on whatever, but it's also good to keep in mind that liking problematic things doesn't make you a problematic person.

Absolutely! There's a really excellent article "How to be a Fan of Problematic Things" that is a good way of looking at it. It's OK to like problematic things EVEN when you acknowledge that it has problems.
