I'm so glad I finished my tea before reading this. I'm now convinced there are no more entwives because they had too much fun and didn't want to switch back.

I was watching Animal Planet the other day, and the bit I saw was about a water lily with enormous leaf pads capable of supporting the weight of a human child. The lily blossoms opened at night with a strong, sweet scent, attracting bugs. A beetle entered the white flower featured, whereupon its petals closed and trapped the beetle, who was unknowingly fertilizing the flower overnight. At the end of the night, the flower turned red (=a change of gender, I believe to male?), opened its petals, and released the beetle.
Just...because it was cool.
