Well I always want things like that to be warned for, because I very much dislike mpreg and don't want to accidentally stumble onto it in a fic. The other day I was reading a fic (on FF.net, naturally) where there was a whole lot of sex going on with a million different characters NOT LISTED. One of the pairings I despise, and I'm seriously squicked out by it, but I couldn't avoid it because it waasn't warned for. -_- I believe warning for stuff that might freak people out/squick them/trigger them is the polite, decent thing to do.

..but there is a huge difference between being "squicked out" by certain characters having sex and being triggered by something.

errrr it's still polite/decent to warn for things that squick people out

it's not any less polite just because it might not be saving someone from a flashback or panic attack

Yes, it is. It's IS polite to warn people for that. But being triggered and being grossed out/not liking something are two very different things and it is incredibly offensive to me that people can compare being triggered to just ~not liking something~.
