How normal could she be when she's a baby in a ten year old's body with Bella and Edward as parents? I think she's lucky biting for fun is her only behavioral problem.

She's not even a baby though. She's developmentally an adult. Word of God says that Renesmee understands everything as an adult would. Heck, even without the Word of God, she still (magically) is able to understand and comprehend things at an advanced level given her "actual" age (ie, she's reading a comprehending poetry even though her body is only like, two).

Which makes the biting even weirder because a) she is already creepily possessive of Jacob, and b) she knows that it is inappropriate behavior.

(Also, don't even get me started on the parental abilities of Bella and Edward, as in, they have none. Having a child to them seems more like a novelty than something to actually invest time and care and work into, and something that requires actual responsibility. God I hate these books so much.)
