Maybe. Canonically there was nothing between them, and the show stuck pretty close to canon (esp. at the beginning), but... maybe he put that in... I've not seen that episode in a long time.

It shows him being entranced by her singing and describing her as having "a face a man might die for"...make of that what you will.

OP, read what you like. But don't assume that your take on the characters is the only permissible take.

"I only caught a glimpse of her at the moment, but she was a lovely woman, with a face that a man might die for."
So... [shrug]
