Hullo! This week's theme is Fandom Animals. We'll be taking a look at some of the real life versions of animals that have inspired fictional ones in games, stories, shows and otherwise. I definitely won't be able to cover every single animal everywhere ever, but I think making a good attempt should definitely be possible. I'll also be trying to cover types of animals that we haven't yet. Variety, right?

Today we kick off with several Pokemon! Since it's FS, we're starting with woopers, then because... well, I couldn't NOT do joltiks, considering what this account is called. After that, two other cute things- sandshrews and sandslashes then drilburs (or diglets). Can you guess which real life animals we're using?

Hello!

I'm the person who kept getting errors instead of images and whining about it.

Apparently one of the latest updates to Firefox made it wonky when some add-ons were enabled, and it made some pictures not load (something about internal confusion in the file because of RGB and CMYK colors being saved as each other, or something, idk).

The people reporting the problems in the sites and forums I found realized that the problem was in a Skype add-on (which I don't have), so I played trial and error and it seems that the add-on Firebug was the problem with me.

TL;DR: If you are using Firefox and some images don't load for you, disable your add-ons one by one and check if that fixes it.

I'm glad you figured it out. I know that must have been super frustrating.

Does anyone know where to find football fics? The Euro is reminding me of my love for the German team, but I wouldn't know where to find fic.

I'm a huge fan of Philipp Lahm (and the rest of the Bayern München guys), if that helps.

Alright so my friend got me into a YJ pairing and now I'm kind of weirdly obsessed but where do I start? Is it there different comics? Should I watch the show? Any good LJ comms?

Where are good places to find Avengers icons/avatars? Because if I go searching I will inevitably end up spending the next 5 hours hippity-hopping through the internet...

I am in particular looking for ones of Black Widow, and ones with text with pithy lines. (Like if someone has a good one of Hulk's "Puny god" I would be SO after that.)
