I'd love to see these two in more advertising and merchandising, but then again I also feel this way about Coulson and Maria Hill.

The weird thing being of course that Natasha has A LOT of screen time and importance in the movie and still gets left out, but I guess she isn't as widely known as most of the rest of the characters either. D:

And although Fury is a BAMF, he doesn't have superpowers so I think to a lot of people that automatically makes him less interesting. (Not to me, but yea. Same goes for Natasha and Clint. Tony might not have them either but...he has the suit too, and most people adore that suit.)

Without Natasha, the team would never have found out about Loki's plan to unleash the Hulk.
Without Natasha, the Hulk (who was instrumental in making sure the Chitauri didn't cause much more damage to New York) would still have been helping cholera victims in Calcutta.
Without Natasha, who knows how many more insect-reptile-robot aliens might have come through the portal -- even after Tony brought the nuke through! What if they weren't all blown up?

So yes, please explain to me exactly how Natasha was just a useless piece of eyecandy.

Seriously? NOT having powers makes these characters boring to people? MY GOD! NOT having powers and STILL being THAT BADASS is part of what makes Nick, Natasha, Clint, Maria and Coulson awesome! Ugh.

I'll just be over in my corner, begging the universe for a SHIELD prequel...

I know! Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed by superpowers, but...I'm equally as impressed by people that don't have them yet continue to be vital and competent as fuck regardless.
