I think too many of the fans read avengers!loki as a sympathetic character. IDK hiddleston played him great, but the whole point of the movie is he's an evil dude trying to kill/enslave people and the avengers have to stop him. That is, he's pretty much just a super villain in the Avengers.

I didn't mind Thor because it kind of shows you his perspective? Or in the marvel way which kind of "humanizes" most characters. It's like I can understand why he thinks the way he does, and that movie helped, but idk it isn't really the right way.

Anyway the Avengers doesn't really harp on Loki as a piteous character, it's just the fandom. So you should watch it!
