I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's totally different, not meant to be the same, etc., but if you're super attached to something, I understand why you don't want to see a variation on it. I feel that way about adaptations of my favorite books. Doesn't make it inferior or bad, just something you're not interested in.

Not sure why those are the things you're picking on though. Hair color? And Loki always seemed to me to be more of a chaotic neutral figure in mythology, while Marvel used him as a villain (as sympathetic as he was in the first movie.) I hope they move him to that category in Thor 2 tbh.

Totally with you on the chaotic neutral thing for Thor 2, even though I really enjoyed Loki in the Avengers, it bothers me that he was not especially chaotic in this - "a world made free from freedom" fascist analogy, plus in terms of villain-ness, I'd like him to move more towards unpredictable trickster who could go either way. Signs are positive, so far...

yeah since they have the Enchantress lined up as their key villain in Thor 2 they have some freedom to use Loki in a different way. I'm really looking forward to it :)
