Holy crap I found a free download. O_o Huh.

Not sure if it's a great free e-book thingy, but it seems to work ok.

Though.....you'd be hard pressed to find a cheap, physical copy of that book. D:

Warning. I've read the book and...I honestly think the movie is so, so much better.

SPOILERS: The ending is different. Basically Hoggle and the rest weren't real :/ I HATED that.

My interpretation even as a kid was that it was all in her head and she was imagining the big party at the end.

Then again I had a very healthy roster of imaginary friends....

If you listen to the Brian Froud commentary for the most recent DVD release, he mentions that that's what he wanted the ending to be. That they weren't real, just a part of herself. Jim Henson disagreed, and wanted them to be real, and to be able to see her again. JH ended up winning at the end, I personally like that one better

That's what I took away from the movie, though. >_>

So....I had no issue with that. But, that's a very YMMV type deal.
