Considering how the show made Sokka white in the flashbacks, they're not above fucking up.

And that screencap is edited as fuck. You can edit without whitewashing.

Just. Stop.

Showing Korra in glaring light is so much of a fucking non-issue that I cannot even believe people bother to point it out.

It is as far from actual racism as you can fucking get.

(And also reminds me of Transformers Animated fandom, where Western fanartists tended to draw Sari as brown as she was in the show, while Japanese artists frequently drew her relatively really pale.)
