That's highly insulting. "Trigger" is appropriate. Since it seems you don't suffer from it, I'm not surprised you don't understand it. Trigger is the correct word to use because those sounds cause such an intense reaction. Violence, rage, fear, emotional distress, nausea, quickened heart rate, panic.

I'm guessing you're part of the masses who think it's a "choice", and not what it really is, an involuntary response to a stimuli, or trigger.

Thanks for insulting my disorder. Really. It's so kind of you.
