Are you serious? Honest question. :-/ Maybe you would like to actually look up Misophonia - it's more than an annoyance at eating sounds. If you already know the proper meaning, then I'm genuinely curious as to how you believe the word "trigger" doesn't apply.

FWIW, no one is using "trigger" in the sense of warnings, like is often discussed in fandom. It would be insane to warn for sounds like this. It just means something similar to the personal example I'll give here: When I hear someone smacking their lips and snoring, I want to shove my fist down their throat to make them stop. It triggers intense, irrational anger and disgust.
