...And now I'm just glad to find out that has a NAME. And is actually a thing. I used to get in trouble all the time, from the time I was about eight or so, because I didn't want to eat with my family, would lose my temper with my brother for breathing when he had allergies (I know that wasn't fair, but it was like... RAGE), people whispering, kissing--anything that made lip smacking sounds.

I don't know that I would diagnose myself or anything. Whatever was with that, it doesn't sound like as severe as what you're talking about for the most part. As an adult, I can normally force myself to deal with it. But I still get irrationally irritated with those kinds of noises.

omg Level 5 is me. I know it's childish, but I can't help it! In my defence I have a lot of hair, so when I cover my ears, it doesn't necessarily show. I wish covering your ears could block out snoring though, I need my ipod on max volume for that.

Oh, don't worry, I've done that, too. When I'm triggered, I sort of lose all rational thought. I've become so enraged I've shot death glares at people, very obviously covered my ears, etc. I always hate myself afterwards, but...it's like you lose yourself during.
