Until I meet one for myself, I remained unconvinced that any actual gay man obsesses over m-slash the way fangirls do. I don't just mean writing slash porn and shipping the occasional slash pairing, but doing it exclusively and obsessively.

Oh, definitely, although there is a not insignificant percentage of the obsessive het-writing community (especially among professionals) that is actively homophobic in their het obsession. I probably should have posted that comment in response to "Until I met one for myself"-anon, since it was mostly a wtf reaction that s/he wouldn't think gay men could obsess over slash even though straight women obsess over het all the fucking time.

There are three in my very fangirl-packed fandom, two I've met IRL. One of them loves bara AND BL (genres that rarely have much crossover appeal in my experience), ships Captain America and Iron Man and loves Supernatural; runs the gamut of things girls like that he as a gay man likes also.

Your experiences are surprisingly not everone else's.

No... I'm still here. I read stories and webcomics with gay characters as leads and gay couples as the main relationships. All my most favourite ships are m/m. And because a lot of gay guys I know don't catch my interest and the guys that do are either already taken or aren't interested in me, I'm at a deadlock there.
