I don't get it. Because the man might not fulfill your 'ship fantasies means he's such a slobbering boob-zombie that all it takes is a flash of rack to change his mind? Martin might rightfully be accused of sexism and misogyny in his writings, but I hadn't heard he was so dumb and desperate for the sight of titties that he can't manage to find them for himself. Oh, I wouldn't if I were you. I got yelled at once for my icon being misogynistic because I am "promoting domestic abuse" and "being triggering" (because of the bruise on her arm, you see). According to them, I know for 100% fact that this icon depicts domestic abuse (even though the stock that the icon is from is actually just a girl sitting on a windowsill reading a book) and that I am purposely using it to trigger them. Which, of course, makes me a woman-hating rape apologist abusive troll.

huh, ok...I didn't think that link was particularly SJW-y though. The people saying GRRM was being skeevy were correct imo; he was. There was one person who kept saying things like "get out of my playroom; you don't belong here because you disagree with me!" and being generally over-the-top but that isn't any worse than other places, is it?

Yep. I'm a member and I just read it to see what idiots they're making of themselves. I miss the old days, when the posts were actually *FUN*, instead of "OMG this person said something IST/insulted this minority group inadvertently! DOGPIIIIIIIILE!" I've seen posts saying "Oh, this person who once said *this*(insert some remark they found offensive) is now a member of a community I'm in. Should I alert the mod that they *might* act like this again?" The response was (completely unanimously, IIRC), "Oh, yes! Tell EVERYONE about this!"

I do agree with some of their points about GRRM - I've always been *incredibly* creeped out by him. I just get this sleazy, supercilious feeling off him.

I got banned from a completely unrelated comm I joined once because someone from sf_d went to the mods and was like "BAN HER, SHE IS _____IST", and linked random things I've said in the past as well as entries in my own LiveJournal.
