...I feel like I've seen this pic several times over the years online (and remember when the ads for it came out), and there's always this HORROR at it that I never quite got. Maybe their personalities (though this was from their more lucid years), but I don't think they're somehow beyond the pale physically. Plus, the shoot itself was for a comedy, so it feels different from, say, David Hasselhoff doing that naked pin-up with puppies. I dunno.

This! I know I've been told I bad taste and all, but I don't find either of them OH GOD! THE HORROR! unattractive, in that picture or otherwise. I actually think that image is pretty sexy.

Honestly, I think the outrage is mostly due to Rosie's looks not adhering to current cultural standards of beauty. Remember when she was Betty in 'The Flinstones' movie? Everyone was like, "Ewwwww! Betty is supposed to be sexy!" Say what you will about the movie, but I thought Rosie was good as Betty.

I'd be embarrassed to say it to anyone, but I think she has a kind of pretty face. I don't get the horror at her either (granted, I don't know anything about her personality, and maybe that has something to do with it).

Ok, I hate that movie, but she was cute as a fucking button as Betty. D: I wish I could pull that blue dress off half as well as she did. And I'm not too far off the size she was in the role.

I've also been a sorta fan of hers for years, so....not a huge one, but I don't get all the hate.

To me, the horror is how incredibly unsexy Dan is. Just my opinion - he is just...not a sexy guy, and especially not in all that gear. I thought Rosie looked awesome *and* sexy, but she didn't act terribly comfortable, which kind of ruined it for me.

The movie is dreadful in so many ways, but not because Rosie is a little heavy - it's just an incredibly bad movie. (Though it does have that cute boy from Strictly Ballroom).

True :P I only saw it out of any possible tongue-in-cheek context (it's gotten increasingly harder to tell with Hasselhoff), so it seemed like the implication was "Yes, this is totally meant to be sexy", when it just raises many, many questions.
