He's an arrogant, irresponsible, self-centered ass? I mean, he's a delightfully fun character to watch, and he also has his good points, but if you know anyone like that in real life, you'd probably hate them.

Yea, this. I'd probably want to punch him in the face in real life. His sense of humor appeals to me though, and he does have his moments.

I would definitely go to his parties and get Shawarma with him after. Or work for him if he paid enough. But having him too much in your life would really suck.

Pretty much exactly this. He's one of my favourite movie characters lately, but I would totally hate him in real life.
