Oh anon :( *hugs* I don't know what to say, but I hope you manage to get over it. I have the same insecurities, and there's a somebody in my life who I feel is constantly pushing me backwards, but I've found the one person who always pulls me back up. I hope you find your solution too.

Insecurities can be tough things, indeed. NF op, you might want to consider therapy. I realize you might be thinking "these thoughts aren't rational, and embarassing, I never had these things happen to me, how can I tell anybody about how stupid this is?"

Well, from your description, they are irrational, yes. But that's why you need the help. You are an intelligent person who realizes that intellectually this makes no sense, but as you've no doubt also come to realize, that part doesn't always succeed in stoping the feelings. People have had problems with sillier then this. I hope you find somebody who can help you with that.
