It's not impossible Katara hasn't started her period yet. Avatar is sort-of 19h century, right? The average age has gone way down since then, I think. Otherwise damn that's gotta be awkward. o_o Though I guess Water Tribe woman probably have a system for long hunting trips or whatever?

Sabriel likewise. That girl's gotta have a system. :P

Yeah, you're right about Sabriel. She'd have it down. And if she didn't - she'd figure it out. I love her common sense approach to solving problems - she just works right through them, and she's so smart. (Can you tell I love this character? :D)

Maybe there's a way to use Waterbending to help with periods. In fact, I bet there is, esp. since you can use Waterbending to heal.

I wonder if the Southern Water Tribe had to revamp the way they did a lot of things after their benders were eliminated by the Fire Nation. Maybe that would be one of them.

Well aside from anything else the Abhorsen armour is substantial and practical enough that I doubt leakage would be an issue. xD Also this is making me want to re-read Sabriel.
