Well hey, OP, you learned something today! At the end of the day feminism is a term that's important to a lot of women and a cause that has introduced many of them to a more loving and accepting group of people that they feel safe around. Feminism is not a bad thing, it's just very misunderstood (mostly because we live in an incredibly misogynistic culture in the first place and those with power feel threatened by the thought of women having just as much power)

I'm really glad that I've become involved in feminism and met so many wonderful people in the feminist community. For a lot of people like me it's a safe place where they can be among people who understand them, and where we don't have to be around the stupid sexist things that have been beaten into our heads about women all of our lives. It's a movement that's meant to unite women and help them, not alienate them and contribute to even more hate.
